Dana Seavey drives to the basket against Yazmein Mestas in the Lady Badgers 37-25 win over Mingus.

The Lady Badgers hit the road and despite a few potholes, found some good road on their way to a 37-25 win over the Mingus Marauders in Cottonwood.

The Lady Badgers opened a 6-0 in the first quarter, but the offense sputtered and the Marauders were able to get on the board with under three minutes left in the quarter. Prescott led 6-3 after one, but Mingus was able to tie the game at 9 with 2:43 left in the half. Alisa LeBlanc pull up jumper gave the Lady Badgers the lead at 11-9, but the Marauders tied the game briefly. Hollie Dalton stole the ball and went the distance to give Prescott a 13-11 lead at the break.

Dalton picked up where she left off, scoring on a short baseline jumper to extend the lead to 15-11. Alisa LeBlanc scored to make it 18-11 with 5:22 left in the third. LeBlanc scored again on an old fashioned three point play and the lead grew to double digits, 21-11.

Olivia Gordon scored for the Marauders, ending their 10-0 drought to make it 21-13 at the 3:44 mark.

Dalton's vision and passing paid off again as she fed LeBlanc again pushing the lead back to ten, 23-13.

The only Lady Badger three point basket came from Hollie Dalton towards the end of the third quarter. 26-16 1:12

Dalton then drove and dished to Reily to close out the quarter and a 28-18 Prescott lead.

Dalton to Reily again for a 30-18 5:50 left in the game. Each team scored seven down the stretch, with the Lady Badgers winning by twelve.

Hollie Dalton said, "We wanted to push the ball and work for open layups. Since we have played them before we had an idea of what to expect from them. We are playing better when we need to and that is helping us get these wins."

The Lady Badgers (4-3) in Grand Canyon Region and (9-8) overall will pay a visit to Flagstaff on Tuesday at 5:30pm. Mingus remains winless on the season at (0-8) and (0-15).
