Prescott, Arizona - Ride Prescott has been offering golf cart shuttle rides in historic downtown Prescott for several summer seasons; every year a call comes in around December asking if Holiday Light Tours are available. This December, they are pleased to offer “sleigh rides!” Driver “Santa” Joe and his “Rein-dog” Charlee will give 30-40 minute tours in the downtown area, while riders have an open “sleigh” experience.
“We had a special request the first winter after we opened to do a lights tour for a little guy’s birthday right after Christmas,”explained owner Katie Dufort. “Every year since, we’ve had at least one or two people asking. This year we made it happen for everyone!”
Ride Prescott’s six-passenger golf carts have been made “sleigh” like with the addition of fuzzy blankets, cups of hot cocoa provided by local caterer Goods From the Garden, and of course, sleigh bells. Santa Joe has been studying local Prescott Christmas lore, and will share stories of Christmas’ past with guests. Tour highlights include a panoramic view of the downtown, the Whipazuma “Christmas House” and of course, the Courthouse Plaza lights.
Tours are offered nightly through December 29th, and can be booked directly on the website, www.RidePrescott.com. The cost for up to 4 riders is only $25 for everyone. Families should note that children under age five will need to bring an approved car seat with them. “We are delighted to compliment all of the wonderful Christmas City traditions Prescott has to offer,” said Dufort. “Our ‘horseless sleigh’ rides kick off our tour division; next year we will offer more seasonal tours for locals and tourists alike.”
Ride Prescott believes Kindness Drives Business and offers free business to business shuttle services in historic downtown Prescott seasonally from late April to early October. More information is available on this and other services they offer at www.RidePrescott.com.
