Drivers should allow extra travel time and consider an alternate route
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers who use State Route 89 in Prescott to plan for daytime lane restrictions and delays while contractors install traffic signal poles and directional signage. Motorists should allow extra travel time while the following restrictions are in place:
North- and southbound State Route 89 will be restricted in both directions between Deep Well Ranch Road and State Route 89A from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. Drivers should consider using Deep Well Ranch Road to Willow Creek Road as an alternate route.
Law enforcement and flaggers will be in place for traffic control.
A 10-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
