Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation held their 4th annual Gala at the beginning of June with the theme of “Fostering their Dreams” at the Centennial Center at Antelope Golf Club Spring Gala. The evening was a huge success, raising over $10,000 to help support the organizations cause. There was music by Sean McDermott, Mayor Greg Mengarelli was the MC for the evening, and his lovely wife Shelia shared their story of how foster care and adoption has impacted their family. We also heard from Chief Justice Brutinel and honored our past board member, Janet Lincoln. And CASA Annie Papineau shared how the Foundation has been so helpful to the kids she is the CASA for.
Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation would like to especially thank our sponsors for the evening. Stepping in as our major sponsor was Coca-Cola, bringing in Coke products for everyone to enjoy, cute little white Coca-Cola bears and also a basket for our silent auction. We would also like to thank Gordon Reiter, Rox Media Group, Kidability Occupational Therapy, Allan’s flowers for our beautiful centerpieces and Schutte & Hilgendorf, pllc.
This was a fun evening with a silent auction, raffle items, a wine pull and great information on what Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation does and how we continue to help kids in foster care. We thank everyone who came and also everyone who donated an item for our silent auction, raffle or wine pull. It takes a community, and we live in a great one!
