Covert Underage Alcohol Sales

On June 11, 2016, from 6:00-11:00 PM, Prescott Valley Police Department partnered with MATFORCE, Chino Valley Police Department, GITEM and agents from Arizona Liquor Control (DLLC) to conduct a Covert Underage Buyer (CUB) detail in western Yavapai County. Police Explorers from PVPD and PPD, ages 16-19, also participated.
A total of twenty-seven (27) off-sale establishments were checked in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey, Humboldt, Mayer, Cordes Junction, Chino Valley, Paulden and Ash Fork.  A total of nine (9) failures (33%) were recorded in which CUBs were able to purchase alcoholic beverages in these off-sale locations.

By reducing the number of underage alcohol sales, we are also reducing the number of alcohol related serious and fatal accidents among juveniles.  The Prescott Valley Police Department is asking for anyone with any information about underage alcohol sales to report the incident.

Prescott Valley Police Department can be contacted at (928) 772-9267 for non-emergencies, 911 for emergencies.
