CVFF Establishes New Scholarship in Wade Scott Parker's Memory

30 April 2014

The Chino Valley Firefighter Foundation has established a scholarship fund in memory of Wade Scott Parker.

Rob Zazueta, Spokesperson for the Chino Valley Firefighter Foundation explains, "I would like to make you all aware of a very exciting time in our foundation.  We have established a scholarship fund in memory of Wade Scott Parker to a fire science candidate from Chino Valley High School.  This has been a long time coming and thanks to the generosity of our community, our foundation has the funds to move forward with our plans."

On May 18, there will be a Pancake Breakfast, held as a fundraiser to further support this scholarship fund. Stay tuned for more details about this event.

Wade Parker, a graduate of Chino Valley High School, was one of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots that lost their lives in the Yarnell Fire last year.
