Groundbreaking on New Shopping Center in Prescott

New Plaza to bring much needed services to area

Lakeview Plaza, a commerical property at the corner of Willow Creek and Willow Lake Roads, recently broke ground on the new neighborhood shopping center. CVS and McDonalds have both contracted to open stores in the center and will be beginning construction this summer. Owner/Developer Ken Mabarak and Development Consultant Todd Sergi both expressed delight at seeing dirt being moved. “This has been a dream for a number of years,” said Mabarak. “We are so pleased to be able to offer neighborhood shopping convenience for this part of our community.”

Local architect Michael Taylor has been retained to design the architectural continuity of the 14-acre site that can accommodate a sit-down restaurant, offices and other retail users. “We believe that Lakeview Plaza would be the perfect spot to get a steak and a martini in this end of town” says Mabarak. Approximately 32,000 vehicles drive by this corner every day. In addition to the existing Fry’s Center located across from this project, the area will be the retail hub for northern Prescott and Chino Valley. Fann Contracting has already begun the infrastructure improvements. For more information please contact Molly Auman at
