Regional Christian Radio Station Wins Station Of The Year Award  

PRESCOTT, AZ: Radio Shine, 90.9 FM, KGCB of Prescott received national recognition last night by Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) as 2013 Station of the Year in the small market category, at the CMB Momentum Conference in Orlando, FL.

The station is recognized for their efforts for demonstrating overall growth and serving out the station's mission in the individual market they serve which is northern and central Arizona. Christian radio stations from across the nation were evaluated in five areas, including audience numbers and community involvement. Radio Shine’s commitment to serving Arizona communities is tangible, practical and goes beyond the microphone. The outreach efforts include hands-on involvement with many non-profit organizations within their listening area.

"We are a blessed and privileged people to be used as a tool in God's hand and an instrument for His voice," said Sally Barton, station manager.

"I am thrilled for the recognition Christian Music Broadcasters has provided by naming Radio Shine Station of the Year. God is at work through His people, the Radio Shine family, staff, listeners and supporters,” Barton said.

CMB is a national organization that exists to assist Christian media in effectively communicating the Gospel with the intent of leading as many people as possible to spiritual growth and salvation.
