Prescott Police Asking for Help in Finding Missing Vulnerable Adult – Update

Prescott Police, with the assistance from Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Forest Patrol and Search and Rescue Teams, have continued to search for Terry Wayne Holmes who was reported missing since Monday, April 11th, at approximately 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, the search for Mr. Holmes has been unsuccessful to this point. It is believed that Mr. Holmes walked away from his place of residence at Camp Yavapines in an unknown direction and has not been seen or heard from since.

Search crews initially concentrated their efforts on the large area that encompasses Camp Yavapines, to include the many out-buildings on the property. Search crews have since widened their efforts to the trails that lead from the Camp into National Forest. Use of ground search techniques, K-9 crews, along with the support of unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with thermal cameras, have thus far been unsuccessful.

Mr. Holmes is a 72-year-old Caucasian male described as 5’11” tall and weighing approximately 215 lbs. with a grey hair and beard. He was seen wearing blue jeans, a blue long-sleeved plaid shirt, hiking boots and a brown baseball cap.

Anyone who may have seen Mr. Holmes or has any information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Prescott Police Department at 928-777-1988 or Dispatch at 928-445-3131
