On Super Bowl Sunday, February 5, 2012, the Tri-City DUI Task Force was deployed between the hours of 4PM and midnight. Agencies participating in this enhanced patrol included the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Public Safety, Chino Valley Police Department, Prescott Police Department, and the Prescott Valley Police Department. Personnel deployed from a Command Post set at the Yavapai College Police Department parking lot in Prescott.
Task Force Stats:
Participating Officers: 19
Total contacts/stops: 139
Total DUI Arrests: 8
Felony Aggravated DUI: 2
Extreme DUI (BAC of .15% or above): 1
DUI with Drugs: 4

Sober Designated Drivers contacted: 4
It is also important to highlight that 4 designated drivers were contacted who were driving impaired passengers home. We want to remind everyone to be responsible consuming alcohol and use a designated driver or other means of transportation when possible. As always, the Tri-city DUI Taskforce would like to stress to drivers the dangers of driving impaired and remind everyone that the Tri-city DUI Taskforce will continue to operate high profile DUI enforcement throughout the year.
This operation was made possible with funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety who provided dollars for deputy and officer overtime. The Tri-City Task force would like to thank MATForce for providing additional support funds. Personnel involved also greatly appreciate the following local business who donated food and supplies: Buffalo Wild Wings (Prescott Valley), Costco (Prescott), Granite Portables & Septic (Prescott), Sam’s Club (Prescott Valley), and Starbucks (Prescott).
