In recent months, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office detectives from the Special Crimes Section (SCS) conducted several concurrent investigations into the sales of methamphetamine resulting in several arrests. All suspects in these cases were booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center and remain in-custody (except for Jennifer Ocell). The results are as follows:
60-year-old Charles Roberts – Late last year, detectives confirmed the sales of methamphetamine (meth) by Roberts in the Mayer area. On June 14, 2011, Roberts was arrested at the Bank of the West business in Mayer and booked for 2 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale. Roberts lives in Spring Valley.
35-year-old Kenneth Wallace – In January of this year, detectives confirmed the sales of meth by Wallace on 2 occasions, including one from his home in the 15000 block of Cordes Lakes Drive. On June 1, 2011, SCS detectives arrested Wallace at his home and booked him for 2 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale. Wallace acknowledged the ongoing sales of meth.
29-year-old Joel Clark – Early this year, detectives confirmed the sales of meth by Clark on 3 separate occasions. In January, Clark sold meth from his residence in the 20000 block of Deer Valley Lane, Cordes Lakes. On February 3rd, meth was sold by Clark in the parking lot of the Chevron Station in Cordes Junction. In April, Clark again sold meth from his residence. On May 26, 2011, Clark was arrested following a traffic stop in Cordes Junction. Clark was driving a medical transportation van. Detectives went to his home on Deer Valley Lane and obtained a search warrant. Detectives found marijuana and an associated pipe in proximity to Clark’s children, a two-year-old and two-month old under the care of his girlfriend and their mother, 26-year-old Jennifer Ocell.
Clark was booked on 3 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possession of Narcotics Drugs (found in his work van), Possession of Marijuana and Child Abuse. Ocell was booked for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia along with a Child Abuse charge. Child Protective Services was notified.
29-year-old Benjamin Jones –In February and March of this year, detectives confirmed 2 occurrences of meth sales by Jones from his home in the 12000 block of Central Avenue in Mayer. On June 22, 2011, Jones was arrested at his home and booked for 2 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale. Jones acknowledged selling meth for profit.
56-year-old David McMillan – In February of this year, McMillan sold a quantity of meth from his residence in the Stagecoach Trailer Park in the 12000 block of Stagecoach Road, Mayer. McMillan sold meth again in March and May from his residence. McMillan was contacted as his home by detectives on May 3rd and arrested. During a search, detectives found 2 grams of meth, pipes, scales and a handgun. McMillan was booked on 3 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Possession of a Deadly Weapon during Commission of a Felony.
51-year-old Susan Sullivan – On two occasions in March and one occasion in May, Sullivan sold meth from her home located in the 10000 block of 3rd Street in Mayer. On May 24, 2011, a search warrant was served at her residence. Sullivan was arrested for 3 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale.
47-year-old Martha Hallaway – In March and April of this year, Hallaway sold meth from a residence located in the Stagecoach Trailer Park, Mayer. Detectives later became aware of a larger meth sale expected from Hallaway in May. On May 11th, Hallaway was located as a passenger in a van stopped by YCSO K9 on I17. Hallaway was arrested for the prior meth sales and an unrelated arrest warrant. K9 deputies also found her 2 ounces of meth in her possession. Hallaway was booked on 3 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and the arrest warrant.
50-year-old Richard Roombos – On two occasions, one in March and one in April, Roombos sold meth in the Mayer area. The sales occurred at a local restaurant and in front of the post office. On June 14, 2011, Roombus was arrested at his home in the 10000 block of 3rd Street Mayer and booked for 2 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale.
34-year-old Cholla Webber – On April 5, Webber sold a quantity of meth on Main Street in Mayer. The next day, Webber sold meth on a road adjacent to the Stagecoach Trailer Park in Mayer. On May 3rd, Webber was arrested at the residence of David McMillan during a drug sales investigation. Webber was booked on 2 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale.
43-year-old William Jaeger – On two dates in April of this year, Jaeger sold meth from his residence located in the 9600 block of Sunset Drive, Mayer. On one of the dates Jaeger also sold marijuana. In May, Jaeger was arrested at his home and booked on 2 counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Possession of Marijuana for Sale.
