PV Man Arrested for Alleged Kidnapping, More

Prescott Police have arrested a Prescott Valley man for kidnapping and numerous other charges.

At approximately 5:15 P.M. yesterday evening, Prescott Valley resident David Maciel, 47, forced entry into a 42-year-old female’s residence located in the 500 block 1st Street in Prescott. Upon hearing a knock at the door, the victim opened it, at which time Maciel forced entry into the residence and assaulted the victim by hitting her in the neck and throwing her on the ground.

The victim was able to get out of the residence and contact police. Maciel remained in the residence and committed criminal damage, destroying numerous items. As he walked out of the residence, Officers took Maciel into custody on scene. Maciel was booked into the Yavapai County jail on charges of Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Trespassing -1st Degree, Burglary, and Criminal Damage.
