4-Year-Old Child Dies in PV House Fire

Police investigate death in Prescott Valley house fire.

firewindow2On December 16th at approximately 12:20 P.M. the Prescott Valley Police Department responded to the 8900 block of Ranger Ct. to assist Central Yavapai Fire Department with a residential fire.

Central Yavapai Fire was able to gain entry into the residence in order to rescue a child who was trapped inside. They started treating the child and he was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center East Campus for treatment.

YRMC emergency staff worked extremely hard to save the child’s life.  Sadly the child did not survive and was pronounced dead.

Prescott Valley Police Detectives are investigating the child’s death.  This is a normal practice in any unattended death.  There are no obvious suspicious circumstances surrounding the child’ death. 

The child is only being identified as a 4 year old male at this time.

Central Yavapai Fire is conducting an ongoing investigation into the fire.

Prescott Valley Police is assisting by investigating the death.
