Arizonans who haven’t registered to vote or who need to update their registration must do so by midnight Monday, July 26, in order to cast a ballot in the state’s Aug. 24 Primary Election.

To facilitate as many new voters as possible, Secretary of State Ken Bennett will conduct a voter-registration drive on Monday from 4:30 p.m. to midnight. Members of the Secretary of State’s Office will be available to register new voters and assist already-registered voters who need to update their registration information (for those who’ve changed addresses, etc.). Completed registration forms also may be dropped off by individuals or organizations.

The registration drive will take place just west of the Executive Tower at the State Capitol1700 W. Washington St. After dark? Don’t worry, the area will be well-lit and well-staffed. If you need directions, contact the Secretary of State’s Office at 1-877-THE-VOTE (1-877-843-8683).

Registration by the end of Monday is necessary to vote in the Aug. 24 Primary Election. Don’t forget: Early voting begins July 29.

Arizona voters who are already registered need not re-register in order to cast a ballot.
