The Tri-City DUI Taskforce will be out in force this holiday weekend to remove impaired drivers from our roadways. During the Memorial Day Weekend, officers from agencies throughout Yavapai County will be assigned to specific saturation patrol details targeting drunk and drug impaired drivers.
This weekend is also Graduation Weekend for many communities in Yavapai County. Graduation is supposed to be a festive time, yet all too often, it ends in tragedy with DUI related crashes because of careless choices.
The Prescott Police Department would like to remind everyone to drive Sober. If you are planning on going out, designate a driver or plan on an alternate ride, such as a cab or limo service. DUI is preventable if people simply make wise choices. Judgment is one of the first things affected by alcohol and pre-planning on your part can eliminate the possibility of making a bad choice.
Remember, that if you are caught for DUI you can “Expect The Max.”
