Hurricane Katrina thundered ashore ten years ago this week, leaving devastation and chaos behind. It was the costliest natural disaster in history of the United States. Over 1200 people died, tens of thousands of people relocated and property damage exceeded $105B.
For the first time in six years, the vote for the Prescott Mayor’s office was close. So close that the number of outstanding ballots could still change the outcome (although it isn’t likely.)
The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors is taking applications for the 2015-16 Title III Forest Fee Program. The funding available for this program, authorized by Public Law 106-393, is approximately $330,000.
