For the first time in the history of Access13, the annual Prescott Chamber Christmas Parade will be aired live on Channel 13 for Cable One subscribers. The parade will be hosted by Ken Byers and co-hosted by Sandy Moss, both of Arizona's Hometown Radio Group. Maryanne DeMarco of Cable One will be interviewing parade goers of all ages to find out what this year's theme, "Imagining Christmas" means to them.
Access13 has received tremendous support from many sponsors in the community, but the live coverage of the parade would not be possible without a generous donation from Desert Sky Media. Desert Sky Media has been located in Prescott for 8 years. Owners Mitchell and Sandy Pietz, changed the name in 2002 from Constellation Satellite, to better reflect their growth into other areas of media, including HD video production, concert sound, staging, video projection, and robotic cameras. One of their more recent projects was the media coverage of the Saddam Hussein war crime trials in Baghdad, Iraq.
