Governor Jan Brewer has scheduled a stop in the Prescott area on Tuesday, Jan. 21, to discuss the “State of the State” speech that she will have delivered earlier at the start of the regular legislative session. Her local appearance will take place at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center is sponsored by the Prescott Valley, Prescott and Chino Valley Chambers of Commerce. It will be a lunch event with doors opening at 11:30, lunch served at 12:15 and the Governor speaking at 1:00. She will take questions immediately following.
Brewer took the oath of office as Governor of Arizona on January 21, 2009. Prior to becoming Arizona’s 22nd Governor, she led a distinguished career of public service serving as Arizona Secretary of State, a Maricopa County Supervisor and as a highly respected member of both houses in the Arizona Legislature where she rose to leadership of the State Senate.
