Gift Card Drive to Support Local Foster Youth – Yavapai Casa For Kids Foundation

Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is excited to announce its upcoming Gift Card Drive, aimed at making an impact on the lives of nearly 300 foster children in Yavapai County. Starting from July 10th and running until August 10th, this initiative aims to provide immediate support to vulnerable youth in need.

“When a child is removed from their home they often leave with only the clothes on their back and in many cases these clothes are inadequate.” Said Executive Director of Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation, Yvonne Bartlett. “Gift card donations will ensure foster youth have their emergency needs and most basic needs met, immediately!”

The Gift Card Drive is not only about meeting needs; it’s about fostering joy and celebration in the lives of these deserving children. The cards will be used for the Toy Chest and Celebration Card programs. These programs, through physical gifts, allow caregivers and all those who play a role in the foster youth’s life to acknowledge and commemorate important milestones, such as birthdays, academic achievements, and other positive behavioral changes.

Mona Stephens, Development Director at Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation, expressed the urgent need for support, stating, “In March, we expanded our programs to include the Verde Valley and have witnessed an increased demand from foster families in need. These gift cards, particularly those for clothing outlets, will play a vital role in supporting the expansion of our three gift card-based programs.”

Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is looking for donations of gifts cards ranging from $10-$200 to restaurants, clothing stores, hobby stores, and Amazon. These gift cards will allow foster youth to be fed, immediately upon removal; supplement the $150 per year for clothing Arizona provides for these kids; give them items for positive self expression, and much more.

If you want to make a difference in the lives of nearly 300 local foster youth, drop off your donations at the Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation office located at 3281 Bob Drive, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314, Monday through Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm. Alternatively, you may mail your donation to PO Box 28070, Prescott Valley, AZ 86312. Your generosity will make a world of difference in the lives of local foster youth, who often experience a scarcity of resources and seldom receive new items.

For any questions or additional information, please reach out to Mona Stephens, Development Director, at development@yavapaicasaforkids.org or call 928-445-0800, extension 4.

Together, We can create a brighter future for our community’s foster children. Your support can change lives!
