Desert Dogs Partners with US Vets and the Prescott Veteran Administration to Provide Jobs for Displaced Veterans

The transition between military and civilian life is not always easy. But there is one Phoenix-based company that is making a difference in Northern Arizona. Desert Dogs is a general and professional labor service company, providing employment, training and even temporary housing to Veterans looking for a fresh start.

“Unless you’ve been through it, it’s hard to appreciate the difficult transition from military to civilian life. Our goal is to create a safe employment haven, where Veterans can work and socialize with other servicemen and women.” – Anthony Calderon, Navy Veteran and Co-Owner of Desert Dogs.

Desert Dogs launched in January 2020 with one truck and two employees. Today, through its collaboration with the Phoenix and Prescott Veteran Administration, the company boosts nearly 100 Desert Dogs working throughout Phoenix and Northern Arizona providing general and professional labor services to residential and commercial clients.

“From junk removal to home maintenance and repair, our goal is to ensure the best possible service by those who served our country.”

U.S. VETS is the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of comprehensive services to homeless and at-risk veterans. With 20 residential sites and 9 service centers in 13 cities across 5 states, the District of Columbia and the territory of Guam, U.S. VETS provides vital housing, employment and mental health services to veterans and their families.
