Prescott Valley Celebrates its 30th Anniversary this Weekend

And they have quite the celebration planned!

 

 

pv30bday2.jpg Webster’s Dictionary defines the work “kinetic” as, “Moving or causing motion.”  And “Sculpture as a “Three-dimensional work of art.”  But to the town of Prescott Valley, the Kinetic Sculpture Race is a tradition. The race is in its third year, and this time it coincides with the 30th anniversary of Prescott Valley. The race starts at 9:30 am this Saturday.

Galpin Ford is sponsoring this years World Arts Festival at the Prescott Valley Civic Center. They will feature a variety of cultural arts from around the world with, “music, visual and performing arts, crafts, community group demonstrations and high-spirited youth activities.” In addition there will be a wide variety of ethnic food and a beer and wine tasting garden.

In addition there will be a display of antique and custom cars, and three stages will be set up, (under awnings) for a variety of music and entertainment. Prescott's own Shakespearian Troup, The Arizona Shakespeare Festival will perform "As You Like It" at 11:00 am.  

Other events planned for the celebration include the first annual Creative Energy Fair, which will be at the Tim’s Toyota Center, and a ground level fire works display. The energy fair will take place on both Saturday and Sunday. All events are free and open to the public. The programs run from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm. The Creative Energy Fair will be from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
