In her memoir, Benatar writes, "Long before I began playing arena shows, I knew what I wanted to do for an audience. Even when I was singing in cover bands, I wanted to give the people who came out to see me more than a performance.... I wanted to let the audience live out fantasies, go into some other time and place with me. I was living mine and I wanted them to come along..."
Benatar was greeted by a long line of people woven in and out of the bookshelves inside Barnes & Noble, waiting to get their books signed. She worked through the crowd efficiently and pleasantly. Later one customer was overheard saying excitedly, "She said she liked my hair!"
Afterwards, Benatar took a moment for a quick interview with Prescott eNews:

Pat has been one of the most influential female singers of all time and by far the BEST female Rock singer!!! If you do not go see Pat/Neil in concert, then you are missing on the greatest experiences of your life.
Pat Benatar was at the Prescott Barnes & Noble today, signing copies of her book, Between a Heart and a Rock Place. Later this evening, she'll be performing at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, sharning the stage with REO Speedwagon.
