It's a Neighborhood Traffic Meeting, all about the Reconstruction Project and Traffic Calming, and it's happening on Thursday, March 3 at 6 pm.
According to a flier sent out by Ian Mattingly, Traffic Engineer for the City of Prescott, the purpose of the meeting is "...to notify area residents and interested members of the public on the status and schedule for the roadway reconstruction project through the Cliff Rose area."
There will also be a discussion of the history and future of traffic calming along Rosser Street and in The Meadows subdivision. Mattingly states that no decisions either for or against traffic calming will be made at the meeting.
In an effort to keep the meeting brief, this meeting will have a little different format - first there will be an update on the project, then the discussion of the background and future of traffic calming strategies. There will also be a short discussion of the existing traffic calming in The Meadows subdivision. After that, there will be one-on-one meetings with City staff and personnel. Maps will also be on hand as a discussion aid.
In order to efficiently gather comments and opinions, participants will be offered the opportunity to fill out survey forms for consideration by Council.
