Ten Northpoint students climb aboard a plane headed to Cambodia.

Ten Northpoint students and two chaperones left early this morning for an "agenda-packed 15 day experience" in Cambodia.

The students have spent many months preparing for this trip. They've worked to learn the language of Khmer, they've raised thousands of dollars, and even delved into the musical culture. Now, it's time to board the plane and fly to their destination for what will surely be a life-changing event.

Brad DeVries, dad to one of the travelers, wistfully posted on Facebook this morning, "At 2 a.m. this morning, we loaded Mia on a school van for the first leg of an airplane marathon that will land her in Phnom Penh Cambodia about 24 hours from now. We're excited, tense, and both a bit jealous about the adventure she has ahead."

Students will share their experiences daily via an online blog. We'll keep our readers apprised of their adventures.
