It was a "touching and healing" time, according to Bill Thompson, the Director of Alumni Relations for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

The event was an unveiling of the exhibit titled, "Remembering Our Fallen" from Arizona, with over 70 in attendance, including Mayor Marlin Kuykendall and a representative from Congressman Gosar's office.

The exhibit was put together by Bill and Evonne Williams, a couple from Omaha, Nebraska, and it features photos of 130 fallen soldiers from Arizona since 9/11/2001.

"Our objective is that people not forget who these men and women are so we want their names to be out there,” Bill Williams said. “In October, we got this idea to put together a display of the pictures of the fallen and it went from there."

Terri Schall, a Gold Star Mother, was there to speak in honor of her son, Army Sgt. Kenneth Schall, who died in Iraq in May, 2005. Other remarks were made by Donna Jacobs, Medical Center Director for the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System; and Dr. Frank Ayers, the Executive Vice President for the Embry Riddle's Prescott campus.

The exhibit will be open at Embry Riddle's campus until February 9, 2012. The exhibit is located on the first floor of the Christine and Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Library and Learning Center at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Prescott, Arizona Campus. Viewing hours are from 10 am to 4 pm each day. According to Thompson, Army & Air Force ROTC Cadets will be on hand during viewing hours.
