First Meeting Today to Consider Consolidation of School Districts

Superintendent Tim Carter to represent Yavapai County Superintendent Tim Carter to represent Yavapai County

County Superintendent Tim Carter will be representing local schools in this Legislative Committee.

Today at 10 am is the first meeting of the Joint Legislative Study Committee on School District Unification and Consolidation. Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has been appointed to the committee to represent local schools. 

According to the press release from Daniel Scarpinato, "HB2219, passed in the last legislative session, created the Committee to study issues related to unification and consolidation of existing school districts and develop legislation for the next legislative session that provides for a regionally or locally facilitated process that allows school district governing boards the opportunity to develop their own unification or consolidation plan."
